HAGERSTOWN, MD – Bitner Henry Insurance Group, a premier insurance provider serving over 7,000 customers across eight states and the District of Columbia, is pleased to announce the acquisition of its future headquarters, The Sylvania Building, located at 13424 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
The agency officially purchased the Pennsylvania Avenue facility, noted for its mirrored-glass facade and light-amber exterior, on June 16, 2025. Operations will transition from the current office at 401 East Antietam Street, where the team has been based since 2005. The move to the north side of town is scheduled for late May of 2026.
A Vision for Future Growth
The transition is driven by the agency’s significant growth over the last two decades. While the Antietam Street facility has served the team well, Bitner Henry Insurance Group has outgrown the space. The Sylvania Building will offer a functional upgrade, featuring new conference rooms, a modern high-tech training area, and additional private offices and cubicles to accommodate a growing workforce.
Managing Partner Andrew Henry is spearheading the renovation project, working closely with Waynesboro Construction to prepare the facility for its 2026 opening.

Working with Waynesboro Construction allows us to tailor this iconic building to meet our specific needs for years to come.”
A Family Legacy
The move represents a significant milestone for founders Steve and Carol Henry and their sons, Managing Partners Joel, Daryl, and Andrew Henry.
