Derek Gard

Derek brings a decade of experience working exclusively with churches and nonprofits at Brotherhood Mutual, along with four years at a mission-sending organization. This has honed his insurance industry skills while prioritizing the needs of those he serves. He is driven to achieve personal goals but finds the greatest satisfaction in solving seemingly impossible problems for others.

Prior to insurance, he spent eight years managing youth sports at the YMCA and four years living with his family in the Dominican Republic. These diverse experiences have shaped him into the person he is today.

His greatest joy is watching his children play basketball and witnessing their dedication and success. His oldest two children, now high school graduates, earned multiple all-conference and all-state honors. Recently, he witnessed his oldest child win a Division III national championship.
