Does your church have a unique ministry? Have you been serving your community in a unique way? If so, you could qualify for a piece of $150,000 in monetary grants offered by one of our providers.
Every year, Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company provides $150,000 in grants to churches and ministries advancing the kingdom in unique ways. Their goal is to encourage innovative ways to share the gospel. The grant also provides access for the chosen ministries to mentors from some of the largest churches in the country. “We really see this as a way to advance the kingdom by serving these innovative ministry programs,” Brotherhood Chairman and President, Mark Robinson, says. The number of individual awards vary each year and typically range from $2,500 to $35,000, based on the scope and financial need of the project.
As an agency working with Brotherhood, our ministry and church customers will also have the opportunity to apply for this grant. To apply, you can visit Brotherhood’s page for the grant.
To apply, make sure that your church initiative, ministry, or program is:
- Directly overseen by a church located in the continental US.
- Intended to help build the Kingdom by introducing people to Jesus or strengthening their relationship with Jesus
- Involves a unique idea that’s innovative, creative, and new and that other churches are not already doing
- Sustainable and can be replicated by other Christian churches
In addition, the overseeing church must provide a church constitution or bylaws as well as a purpose statement and statement of faith, and they must meet each of the following requirements:
-
A tax-exempt charitable organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
-
In good standing with the IRS; If the 501(c)(3) tax exemption was previously revoked by the IRS, it must have been reinstated for at least one full year prior to applying for the Kingdom Advancing Grant
-
Based in the continental United States
This past year, two of the ministries that we serve won grants, for $25,000 and $30,000, respectively. One of these ministries was Bridge Community Church in Warrenton, Virginia, who won a grant for their Canteen Ministry.
Do you have a bold idea for your church or ministry that could advance the Kingdom in your community? The funding is designed to support creative, sustainable programs that connect people to Jesus and inspire other churches to replicate the ministry. Apply for the grant now through March 31st on the Brotherhood website.
