Employee Benefits Advisor:

The Bitner Henry Insurance Group serves the insurance (P&C) and risk management needs of 7,000 customers across eight states and Washington, D.C.

As one of the largest providers of insurance and risk management services in our region, we are often asked if we can meet the health insurance and employee benefits needs of our customers.

We have determined that it is time to launch an employee benefits line of business.

Resources already in place include the following:

  • A substantial base of existing customers.
  • Marketing support.
  • IT support.
  • A customer support team who works closely.
  • A strong relationship with carrier who is rolling out a health insurance product.
  • An independent organizational structure able to enter into new carrier relationships.

Pay: $60,000 to $80,000 base plus commission

Role

We are seeking an experienced benefits advisor who can help us in the following way:

  • Determine which products and services to offer first.
  • Segment our existing customer base to determine the most viable point of entry.
  • Develop a marketing plan to introduce employee benefits.
  • Develop a sales pipeline.
  • Secure first appointments.
  • Develop proposals.
  • Win new business.
  • Develop a servicing team that can scale with the new benefit offerings.

Qualifications

  • Five to ten years of successful health insurance sales experience.
  • Holds a Life and Health License. Advanced credentialing in employee benefits a plus.
  • High school graduate, college degree preferred.
  • Ability to earn trust and establish credibility with our customer base.
  • A strong desire to be part of an entrepreneurial start-up line of business.
