Abuse & Molestation Coverage
Although a difficult topic to think about, abuse and molestation can happen in any type of organization. This includes human service, education, and medical organizations. It is important to prevent events such as these, and to be prepared if they do occur. Abuse and molestation coverage is designed to cover the costs and damages that come as a result of abuse or molestation in an organization.
How can this benefit your organization?
Provides coverage and pays damages for bodily injuries, property damage, or personal injuries that come as a result of:
- Negligent employment, training, investigation, improper reporting, or failure to report
- Retention and supervision of a person for whom an insured is or ever was legally responsible.
Example of Claims Covered
Mishandled Reporting: A Christian school had a student with a mental disability, and claimed that she was sexually and emotionally harassed and bullied by students. She reported the incidents to staff at the school, but nothing was done. This claim was covered under the school’s Abuse and Molestation insurance policy.
