How did you start working at Bitner Henry Insurance?
I had worked a number of years in the print/direct mail business. As the industry declined, I found myself looking for a new career, something totally different. I have been here for over 4 years and it has definitely provided that “different direction” I was looking for.

What is your favorite part of your job?
When handling claims you never know what might come across your desk. That diversity, combined with being able to help someone through a difficult and stressful situation, is rewarding.

If you had a day off and no responsibilities, what would you do?
Probably panic! Kidding aside, I like to stay busy. I would get up early to fish (probably before the rest of my family even wakes up!)and spend the day outside, either in the woods or by a stream. By days end I would be with family and friends by a fire, just enjoying our time together.

What advice would you give your younger self?
Be patient and enjoy the journey.
