In only his second year at Bitner Henry Insurance Group, Bobby Siska has set an agency record for the second-highest annual premium sales ever.
This is an amazing accomplishment for both Bobby and the customers he was able to place coverage for. Those who work with Bobby know this is no accident, but that it is the result of hard work and a commitment to his customers.
Normally, agents enter the industry and take time to build up a referral base. For most agents, it takes time to build a relationship with the churches in the area. In Atlanta, however, Bobby instantly connected with churches. He learned how best to serve them. He helped them discover what they needed, and then he helped them find it. From ministries to churches to nonprofits, Bobby Siska was ready to listen and help. His integrity and energy won over the organizations in the area.
Before working at Bitner Henry, Bobby Siska used to work in personal insurance and as a worship pastor. After success in the corporate insurance industry selling personal lines, Bobby craved more face-to-face connection with his clients, as well as more meaningful work. Finally, he found Bitner-Henry Insurance, where he could serve the ministry with the skills God had given him. Using the expertise that he had found in corporate insurance, he helped bring insurance to churches, ministries, and nonprofits. Bobby, a family man, cites his family and his faith as his motivation and the ‘why’ for everything he does.
Bobby’s Approach
“I care about finding the right insurance policy for our clients,” Bobby writes. “If you or your business suffers a loss and a claim needs to be filed, the most important conversation you will have had to date will be the last one you had with your insurance agent.” By working with organizations and churches, Bobby has learned that insurance can make all the difference to a ministry, and he makes a point.
“Be persistent,” Bobby says when asked what advice he would give to others trying to reach the same goal. “Follow up and knock on a lot of doors.” Bobby credits having a go-getter spirit, determination, energy, and doing the right things for his success.
The Future
“My goal for this year is to do it again,” Bobby says regarding his meteoric achievement. “I want to methodically hit my goals… This amount and higher can happen year after year if the little things and the mindset stay right.”
When asked if there is anything else that he wants to say, Bobby mentions his team. “Lean into your team,” he advises. “I couldn’t have done it without support from all of the CSRs and the submission team… Tell your underwriters that they are genuinely appreciated, and view yourselves as a team trying to accomplish the same goal. Everyone wants success for you, genuinely. This is a phenomenal company to work for, and it’s just getting started.”
